Life is short

Today we received bad news from a friend of ours. His wife has got a stage 4 cancer and she is only 38. I am thinking how ignorant we are about our life span and not living to the fullest. We have to study hard for getting into a good university then have to look for a good job. When we have a job we work restlessly for a better lifestyle until we break down. It's a struggle. However, we should also enjoy life and appreciate each and every minute for being alive and well. Another thing is: we need tender, love and care to make our lives more meaningful. Either be a giver or a taker it is important that we have someone who cares about us or whom we are cared for. I should know better about how life can be so short. My father died at 29 and my mother, at 56. They were together for only 7 years. Who would have expected that they would be apart in such a short time? They might have quarrelled, cross with each other and not talking for days as a normal couple. Instead of sharing the precious moments, we tend to forget the fact that life is not eternal. May we love one another everyday.
